Remembering Haynes Johnson on Meet the Press

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Haynes Johnson, who passed away this Friday, was on Meet the Press 43 times throughout his legendary career. Johnson made his first appearance as a Washington Evening Star reporter and member of the Meet the Press panel in 1966, interviewing Civil Rights Movement leader James Meredith. In his last appearance on the program, in August of 2009, Johnson reflected on his long history covering politics.
