Yes Mitch McConnell doesn't answer certain questions he just goes to a phrase he uses for the four years which is now "the President needs to lead" Last four years was "we will make him a one term President". I think the congress is making the 97% people who benefit from this tax bill suffer because they didn't get the idiot they wanted even though I really don't think they were happy with him. Sadley a smart black/white president isn't their choice but he is what the American people wanted.

David Gregory needs to call them on not answering. Senator MCConnell your excused from this program as you deliberately decide not to answer a direct question the American Public has interest in. Please sir your not welcome back on this program.

Maybe he was afraid that his answer would be twisted and used against him. I too was frustrated by him not answering but when David Gregory brought up a previous half statement he quoted Senator McConnell on it reminded me that people (David Gregory) pick out what they want and twist it to support or condemn (whichever supports their views).

What Makes me crazy is David just set back and let Mitch spew his talking point. I mean David did try to pin him down, but the truth is Mitch only said his talking point. Anything the President has tried to do was shot down by the Rep's. And why does the President have to do the job that the Congress is suppose to be doing. I am sure in 14 we well get read of more of the Koch's puppets, I hope with the internet and the information we have at our finger tips, we can wipe out the corruption, and stop cooperate Welfare. That is one place they never talk about cutting from, nor do we talk about cuts in Defense. Those two place alone could cut trillions from the debt. Why is it we can't talk about that. Cuts could be made in the Congress too. Stop the pork, No one wants to talk about that. $9.5 billion in port in the cliff bill. $9.5 billion in waste. Rep's don't want to cut the debt, They want to protect the rich and destroy the poor and working people.

They never mention big oil entitlements (just cut wind energy and other alternates), big pharma Medicare part D entitlements, special tax credits and deductions - wealth entitlements - costing the Treasury billions, offshore accounts, and the elephant in the room, a humungous military budget (not even counting the hidden budgets for the CIA and other shadow departments which operate off books). Eliminate private contracting, order off the shelf where a reliable product exists, singlepayer health insurance, remove the cap on Social Security earnings - do all that and THEN talk about earned benefits for the poor and middle class.

We do not need a large number of defense programs; turn those employees loose in the private sector and for those programs still deemed necessary, hire vets for the work. Most of them already have the needed security clearances.

I would like to know just how much money congress waist? With all there appointment, Hell all they do is talk. I say make them part timers like all of us have become because of them. You can't find a full time job to save your life anymore. Congress was never to be full time and life time jobs with retirement's. They always bitch about entailment's, well less start with taking there benefit's away. Like that would ever happen. Let them take the pay cuts we have had to deal with. If congress had to live the way people had to live, they would do there job. If we could return to the days when rich couldn't bribe these congress people in the light of day, that would change things. The thing about Newt, He was the one that worked with Clinton, He knew the Military had to be trimmed. The Cuts in pork when he passed the line item veto, These were really good things. I have to agree with you on some of your comments. Fixing our spending problem should be at the top of the Agenda and they have to work together in order to get it done. We have to get past this issue so we can focus in on other issues that this country is facing, like securing our borders and gun control.

I agree with you completely. But you didn't go far enough. Much of our medical cost goes to fraud and waist. Little Bush gave Huge gifts to the Drug makers, that blotted there profits. By making it against the law to be able to buy drugs from whom ever was the cheapest, Medicare had to buy only from American company's. And on top of that they paid one and a half more money then the company's ask for. That was the $ 650 Million the President took out of Medicare. If we took the waste and fraud out of the government we wouldn't be in this mess. But that waste and fraud goes to the rich and they will fight to keep it.
