Why doesn't anyone talk about the Fair Tax proposal?

Please ask anyone to name a MOM and POP business that NETS more than $250,000 which will pay a higher rate under Obama's plan. Please explain the rate increase on a business that clears $1,000,000 would be an increase in taxes of $45,000.

$1,000,000 X 35%= $350,000

$1,000,000 X 39.5= $395,000

I just got through looking at meet the Press where Dick Durbin got beat down by the GOP. If Mr. Durbin thinks we as Democrat's want him to show uncertainty as to what we voted for he and his friends are sadly mistaken. The rate needs to go up to 39.6 and the middle class tax cuts must happen also. Not one or the other. We voted for this. While you are deciding to do what the people want, the people are deciding how to remove you at mid terms one vote at a time, and if that is putting a GOP person in your place we will do it 1 vote at a time. It's time to get real and stand firm and no backing down. And when the GOP ask if you are willing to go over the cliff say yes. You can get it done or we will speak at the Midterms

If Congress can not do their job, and settle this and do it in a manner consistent with the people's wishes, then every one of them need not look for ANY support from the same people that vote for them. If they are too beholding to a PAC or old Grover, then they are not doing the people's bidding. We should begin now replacing Washington with new blood that are willing to work for us and not for re-election.
