Re Bengazi- If Petreas tells the truth that the initial report said the Bengazi attack was by terrorists then who in the White House took the words out so Susan Rice had a bad version? Was it the Pres? House staffers? Axelrod or other political people who did not care for the truth?
And I would add: Why did the story go on for so long? If there was a true misunderstanding, why not correct it right away?
Please stop talking about Benghazi, Susan Rice's talking points and the Petraeus affair- it's very much been overdone. Israel, Hamas, Syria, Iran, fiscal cliff... So many things tat are more relevant and timely to discuss!
Tom in De: That was my initial thought when MTP stated their lineup. Isn't the election over? Aren't there more important matters needing extensive discussion? Then David Gregory as usual, gets me yelling at the TV, by his complete lack of follow up questions and missing major points raised by Sen. Feinstein.
I think we need to stop listening to this show until he is replaced.
What I hear Diane Feinstein saying is that she wants to get to the bottom of the details unless it leads to Obama. There is an elephant in the room that needs to be acknowledged. A cover up occurred for political gain and the President of Liberals (he has disclaimed an interest in the rest of us) is ultimately responsible. If he claims a lack of knowledge across the board then we are in grave danger because of gross inadequacies.

Agreed! This is getting hammered to death and I am sick of it. The various agencies have protocols and it should be known that not all information is always made public especially when it's on-going at the time of the Susan Rice interview.
@ Tom in DE....yes, this is NOT important AT ALL....Americans are dead and we are STILL investigating TWO MONTHS LATER with NO ANSWERS. We can find an email from a politician 20 years ago during a campaign, but it takes 2 MONTHS to find who said what in the paper trail of a current event!
Oh yeah, no big deal...5 of our folks are dead and there's no definitive answer on what really happened and it looks like there could be a cover up and since a "cover up" has been the possible answer for 2 months and no one has fully investigated, we should just make it go away.

I'm confident that what happened in Benghazi will conclude in an endlessly debatable resolution; and the death of fellow Americans is heartbreaking. My position in this context is to point out the fact that 'today' more acute topics for public discourse - Israel and Hamas at war, civil war in Syria, a nuclear Iran around the corner and our own economy sailing over the fiscal cliff.
And "Benghazi is no JFK..."
Lindsey Graham is a disgrace. He comes from one of the poorest states in the country and instead of concentrating on jobs and education, (which is supposed to be top priorities). He concentrates on dividing the country even more. This is a non issue and a waste of time. These senators concentrate on raising the minimum wage and really helping the poor and working poor.
Eric Schmitt of the N.Y. Times reported saturday that Petraeus testified friday that the administration had "removed from the public explanation" any reference to terror attacks in order to "avoid alerting the militants" that the U.S. was tracking them. What is all the hubbub about?
I truly believe there is a time when the general public doesn't need to know everything. I think this is one of those times.

I agree ~ To David Gregory I want to call you out on putting words in Rep Mike Rogers mouth...he DID NOT say the President knew before the election ( he said he was not sure the Pres was not told ) those are two different statements but you go on to interview Lindsey Graham and say that he did say the President knew. Great way to misconstrue words.

You are welcome to your opinion.,...since it has millions of believers, and out numbers Christians in world numbers, than maybe you might think that. Many others think organized religion is a cult. The point is, it is your opinion only....it has the same affiliation as a world religion as does Christianity. Just like Buddhism, Jewish, and Hinduism....all world known religions.
As I pointed out, doesn't matter what religion a president practices, believes, or doesn't believe....not a requirement, litmus test, or part of president duties.
Over the last 100 years, what religion a president belongs, believes, and practices was never mentioned or debated. Why change that now.

Since when is Islam, or any other religion trying to superseded the constitution. Your fear of Islam is telling, world domination. Many have the same fears of Christianity trying to convert the world, think crusades.
Many religions are part of the U.S. culture....they are not taking over. We are a multicultural society, and we have to start respecting those differences and each other. We are a melting pot, with religion, culture, and beliefs. Religions have to abide by U.S. laws and they have for over 250 years. Quit using religion as a wedge.....all religions have the basic tenet of respect one another, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Maybe you should start following that advice.

I agreed with the other comment that I am sure that Obama knew this before the election, but the left media like NBC, MSNBC , ABC, CNN were helping him covering up by not reporting it to help him get re-elected. If you, left media wants to undo the damages that you have done to the future of our country by helping Nobama got re-elected, you need to pressure on the investigation of "Benghazi" and get him impeached. It would not have mattered to the American people that voted, whether al Qaeda was involved or not. Obama would have still been elected. What mattered to those voting was the economy. The GOP could have attempted, once again, to turn the voters attention away from the economy and onto Benghazi, but it would not have mattered. Period.

These questions that MTP is now asking about Benghazi should have been asked BEFORE THE ELECTION, and MTP had at least two successive Sunday shows where they asked no Benghazi questions, but covered abortion and "war on women" type questions instead. Matter of fact, when Carly Fiorina tried to answer a question about "how could the American People trust Romney," David Gregory cut her off when she replied, "how can the American People trust the President on Benghazi," and David Gregory said,"we'll get back later in the show to Benghazi." They didn't. Why, despite him being fully aware of Benghazi? Because MTP wanted their "boy" Obama to win the election. NBC wanted to keep the American People misinformed about the facts damaging to Obama regarding Benghazi. Hey, David Gregory, will you please resign already for misleading the American People and breaking your trust? Your old boss, the late Tim Russert would be rolling in his grave over your intentional misleading on the American People. The American People can't get you impeached like we're going to do to your "boy" Obama for lying and covering up, so will you please save whatever honor you have left and RESIGN from being the moderator of MTP?

I think you should go and do some yoga or something to calm down. It took several months of investigations before we knew the facts and truths about 9/11 and numerous misleading and misrepresented intel reports to the general public and the U.N. Stop with the impeachment talk. Democrats did not go after Bush/Cheney and the rest of the intelligence community after Iraq....so calm down and lets let the investigation continue and we will get the facts. Intelligence is usually classified and it's called secretive operations for a reason.

What does it matter when the administration acknowledged it was a terrorist attack?! I'm inclined to accept the statements by administration officials the first few weeks, knowing that behind the scenes, action was taking place to get the terrorists who attacked the consulate. The media and GOP are attempting to make us think it's important that we may have been "deceived", "lied" to. We are deceived and lied to regularly as it relates to matters of national security. AND WE SHOULD BE! Mike Rogers, however, mentioned something about "policy decisions" were made as a result of the information provided by Rice. What decisions? He was not asked to elaborate. This would make timing important. But until you provide actual proof that it mattered, we need to get on with why 4 men died.
As for Petraeus. Again, why does it matter if the President knew ahead of time or not?
I love how the GOP won't acknowledge the President's involvement in getting Osama bin Laden but they're quick to blame the President for the tragedy in Benghazi. You can't have it both ways.
And Lindsay Graham needs to recognize that knowing it may have been al Qaeda would NOT have changed the outcome of the election. NOT ONE BIT! Start caring about the American people - ALL PEOPLE - and they might just start voting for you.

2 brave men defied orders to "Stand Down" and saved American lives. They died trying to do what the President would not do. What kind of man puts his political career over the lives of Americans. It's not just Democrat or Republican lives that were left there undefended but American lives. Hide your heads in the sand, listen to the biased talking heads and live in your own reality but a day of reckoning is coming.
Unlike all the American soldiers who have died in the name of freedom and America, why are these deaths held in such reference. Every American mourns the loss of life in foreign lands, whether they are soldiers, ambassadors, CIA black ops, or ordinary citizens killed. Those who died in Benghazi knew the risk, and are no different than those who have died over the years with other administrations...republican or democratic. I don't ever recall a call for heads to roll over the bombing of the USS Cole, the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, and so on. All the referenced incidents had a series of hearings, and classified information that the American general public was not privy to for many years. Why are many Americans clamoring for every morsel of info regarding this? What part of classified, national security, and CIA secrecy don't you guys get.
