I'll make a prediction before airing the show: MTP will blatantly fail--yet another week--to discuss the Benghazi scandal to cover for their "man" Obama, so that the media can continue to push for their liberal, gay marriage and tax-subsidized abortions-for-all agenda. Those of you on the fence about about whether to re-elect this divisive, nontransparent, snide acting, excuse-making, do-nothing president for another miserable four years without jobs, no hope, and plenty of fear of the future, you should go view the following Youtube videos about another media coverup about Obama:
Part of the coverup and censoring: couldn't link to those videos about Obama, but you can go to Youtube first, then search there on the terms, "LARRY SINCLAIR" and "OBAMA"
I can not believe that the question that he asked about Libya was on security, and not why country heard the made up story about some video over and over. The media can not be TRUSTED by the people any longer. They are just asking and reporting what THEY DECIDE we should know.
What is going on? This is crazy! Has this been going on for ever and I just didn't notice until now? Does the media and Hollywood run our country? I just can not grasp this! It is a sad time for this country and people don't seem to care or is it just become our reality so we just let it happen because we don't know what else to do about it.
The Republican Congressional leadership refusing to compromise to make Democratic leadership appear to have done nothing for their constituents this past Congressional period, also left Republican leadership doing nothing for their own constituents, when they could have.
Since the Bush tax cuts where an economic investment strategy of the GOP, Republican Congressional leaders could have proposed compromise with Democratic leaders over giving the wealthiest of their constituents the top Bush rate on what money they ‘do’ invest, as opposed to what money they do not invest. (While Mitt Romney‘s closing loopholes that his campaign keeps secret leaves the wealthiest, the middle class and the poor no tangible reason to collectively invest in the Romney/Ryan economic ‘blind-trust’ fund.)
Since Republican leadership knows that the Obama Administration has an initiative to develop other forms of energy, for instance, Republican’s could have used their Congressional time in the House, to propose compromise on President Obama raising the Capital Gain’s Tax from 15% to 20%, by giving people the 15% rate on individual investments in energy companies. (If Republican leaders now lose the House, the Senate and the White House, their constituents will have a zero chance to gain any compromise, unless, President Obama does more of the GOP’s compromising on the original 28% Capital Gain’s Rate, ‘for’ them, while the GOP claims that it is ‘The President‘ who has not done anything!)
I have always enjoyed Meet the Press and found it to be a fair balanced show on all issues. So that is why I am astounded with today's show. It was a bash Romney and promote Obama. Thought I was watching Matt rather than David. More like a let's promote Obama roundtable. Sad.
Wow, props to Eric Cantor. His answer to the New Jersy governer' almost endoresment of Oboma is the most diplomatic I have ever seen him to be. I take a short pause to tip my hat to him...... now back to the race!
@Dorothy Blevins=I noticed that too with him not answering the question about the Jeep ads and their false claims....deflect and deny...that's what he's all about. I am ashamed that he represents my state...next election he comes up, I'm voting this pompest idiot on his can. I am also mad that David didn't call him about about voting against ANY jobs bills that the President has put forth, esp the one pertaining to veterans. Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't he part of the OBSTUCTIONISTS in charge (along with Paul Ryan) to not agree on anything Pres Obama put forth? I personally think all those congressmen should have been sent packing, this is unbecoming of a senator or representative.
Also, I think the panel was skewed towards Romney: Mike Murphy, Joe Scarborough, Savanah and Tom Brokaw with only Cory Booker as the Democrat representing the President. MTP is usually more even keeled in this regard but this was ridiculous! (And so was Scarborough being rude and interrupting Mayor Booker, he only like to hear himself talk....just ask Mika!) He constantly interrupts her every day!
Unbecoming of congress, really! Obama had the majority in congress for two years, remember? What about Obama, he lied about almost everything he has done, from what other people have said all the way to what really happened in Libya.
You said that congress is full of obstructionist, what about the President? He started out calling people in congress out on live TV and the back room deals. Did he really think that would get him anywhere with congress or us. He tried to hide things from us. I can go on and on but I am sure people will just say what about Romney, so I will just leave it here.
David Gregory did a great job grilling Eric Cantor concerning the Romney Campaign with follow up questions, but prior to the Cantor Interview, he had NONE for David Plouffe? Does Gregory realize his journalistic bias or is he simply obtuse?
I have watched your program more this year than ever before and also CBS Meet The Press. I have listened to all the debates, and I currently listen to satellite news radio. I was determined to be a better informed voter this time, listening to all views. I have to say there was a slight improvement of your program being a little less bias, compared to 4 years ago, although I think you could have done better. Could the job growth be due to holiday seasonal hiring? Is it convenient that job growth has gone up ever so slightly right before the election, and to hear the media harp on it? What will it be in January if Obama gets voted in again? I wonder. I'm a Democrat, but I will be voting for Romney because he makes more sense to me in so many ways. For example, it's great to have tons of programs when we can afford them, but when we are in this much debt, we need to cut back on many of them and when we get our feet back on the ground, (hoping that day will come), maybe we can get them back, efficiently. I'm concerned about the economy and the lack of respect from the rest of the world, and I think Romney would be better at turning things around, than Obama. When Obama took office, he had less experience in government and business than Romney has at this present time. Romney has made mistakes, and I believe he has learned from them which is more than what Obama came in with. By the way, I'm a single mother of a 17 year old, I make $11 an hour, work 40 hours a week at a local newspaper and have to budget my money to survive, I think this country has the ability to do the same and stop spending needlessly. I am pro-choice, and that does not affect my decision to vote for Romney, I think there are more serious issues at hand, and I am confident that Romney would not touch the abortion issue. If Romney becomes president, and doesn't make good on his promises, I won't vote for him again. It's that simple. If you do good your first 4 years, than you deserve to get re-elected, if not, we need to change course. I love Savannah Guthrie, she does a great job of bringing the important issues to your table. Now go and Vote (for Romney)! *just had to throw that in*
Nice comment. However under Romney, as a woman, you will go back to the 1950's. You may never make more than that $11 an hour since he never would comment on equal wages for women and your 17 year old probably won't get any assistance to go to college (unless earned a scholarship). Then again, he changes his mind as often as most people change their underwear. No One could have gotten this country out of the mess in 4 years. If Romney has done so well why is his own state of Mass not supporting him or his home state of Michigan? *just had to throw that in* . If he wins, best of luck to you and your child. As a single woman with a child you will definitely need it.
I agree with Paula 413513~I don't know how on earth you could possibly want Romney in charge of this country Val! Mark my words that will we be in at least one war within 2 years, just what this country DOES NOT need! He wants a big military (over 2.4 Trillion MORE than the Pentagon said they need.) You must understand that the Repubs always want to be at war, history shows this to be true.
As far as women's issues, he WILL appoint the most right wing Supreme Court Justices in history and try to repeal Roe V. Wade. We will as a nation GO BACK TO THE PAST! He can't make his mind up to stick with anything for more than a week....he is dangerous for this country!! He will keep women's wages low, he will make sure that we do not have a choice! You say you are pro-choice but you can't be serious that his is not an important issue. You can't be confident of anything this man says!!!! Like Pres Obama and Clinton said, this IS an ECONOMIC issue for women and especially YOU as a single mother! Paula above is right, ask the majority in (one of) his home states in Mass that he was NOT the one to bring the parties together, he had over 800 vetoes! What does that tell you? He wasn't try to work with the other party, he only had his agenda and it was his way or the highway.
I am a registered Repub BUT I will be changing to either Independent or Dem, I cannot identify with the right wing as they are now. I voted for Obama as did my whole family in '08 and I as sticking with him.Sure, we are not where we want to be, but we are making progress and he has the foreign policy experience whereas Romney is just wreckless, he can't even make a visit over there without making flubs left and right. The right wing extremist are the worse in history of this country, they are suppressing the vote and are just dangerous for our country, and has congressmen that on DAY ONE of this president's presidency, affirmed to NOT work with him in any way, shape or form. Remember, Romney doesn't care about 47% of the country, is that the kind of President you really want?
Obama/Biden 2012 >the party of NOT flip=flopping!!!
I am a huge fan of MTP because of it's non-biased stance and always has representatives from both sides. However, I am deeply disappointed in MTP and all other national news in that the HUGE story concerning the CSR report on how lowering taxes on the wealthiest does not create jobs. Particularly since that is the very basis of the Republican party... lower taxes on the wealthiest, the "job creators", and unemployment will drop. And the report covers decades of research and analysis dating back to 1945. If ANY major news network had reported this, I'm certain this would not be a close race at all. Especially if it's also reported how the Senate Republican Minority attempted to halt the report.
I find the Romney argument very puzzling. Romney wants to lower tax rates on the rich to encourage economic growth. Then he says small businesses are the job creators. Most small businesses earn less than $250K a year. Doesn't add up.
Then he says government doesn't create jobs, the privite sector does. Yet he says he will create 12 million jobs. Elect me. Why? You, potential President don't create jobs as the head of government. Doesn't add up.
Eric cantor made comments about unemployment and when I heard him say this talking from a man's perspective, I nearly choked on my breakfast! "How can I make my wife work again?" Eric Cantor and all Republicans who think like this, take note..."No one can MAKE a woman do anything!" Women have fought too long and hard to gain those rights that men have had for years and I for one am not going to stay silent on this issue! Eric Cantor and men like him and Romney are Neanderthals and have no place making decisions for women!! So with regard to Republicans and in the words of Taylor Swift....."WE ARE NEVER, EVER, EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER!"
Eric Cantor was talking about jobs and made this comment "How can I make my wife work again?" This is an insult to women every where who have fought so long and hard to have the same rights men have enjoy for years. Eric Cantor and Neanderthals like him and Romney have no business making decisions for women. This is one issue I will stand up for and if I have to burn another bra to make a point, I will!!! In regards to the Republicans and in the words of Taylor Swift..."WE ARE NEVER, EVER, EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER!"
I thought it interesting and disrespectful of the commentator (David Gregory) to interrupt Mayor Booker during his closing comment and not interrupt any of the other speakers on that panel!!
Have you asked the poor people what is important< you asked the middle class and the rich but what about the poor people? Let me tell you, they could care less about the debt, what is important to them is putting food on the table and gas for their cars, these are working class people and still fall below the line. There not thinking about the debt, college, and when they here us the middle class, whine about the debt, college, bank accounts, they are saying, join the club, you don't here the middle class and rich, talking about food and being hungary and not being able to fill up there small cars like the poor. The debt, what is China going to do if we don't pay on time? Break the United States Legs.
I think that the panel is overloaded with Republicans - Mike Murphy and Morning JOE, plus the new Today host Savannah Guthrie, Tom Brokaw and David Gregory, all pledged to be "objective." Only Cory Booker is a Democrat and for two reasons he is not equipped to deal with all this false objectivity and bullish Republicanism: he is favorable to equity or venture capital and he is much less intelligent and forceful than the two Republicans, Morning Joe and Mike Murphy. A truly disgusting,non-objective and extremely unfair Meet The Press on the Sunday before the election. Seguier
Where to begin...where to begin. It doesn't surprise me that you cannot understand why I would vote for Romney, being a single mother, making under $23,000 a year and being a Democrat. If you listen closely to Romney, his biggest message is JOBS! That way there will be more people paying into the system, which will bring up our revenue. He will make less deductibles for the rich when they file their income tax, which probably will equal out to the same thing Obama wants to do. Cuts need to be made, I'm hoping there will still be student financial aid for my son, I am sure in this country there will always be something, if not, we'll deal with it. I'm right below the age that Medicare won't be the same as what it is now, call it whatever you want...vouchers or whatever, it needs to be reformed. My parents were lucky they had more security than I will probably have. As far as increasing our military spending, as long as we don't have to borrow from China, or make the middle class pay for it, it would create US jobs. Don't worry about women's issues bcgredhead a president wouldn't dare do anything to harm our women's issues, there are just too many of us that wouldn't let that happen. You have to listen to the media with a grain of salt. They have their own personal opinions and it comes through in what they are saying. There are reporters who I can see very clearly that are extremely biased, Andrea Mitchell for one. There are half truths, and some very important elements to the story that are left out, and it will sway the listener and I can see it has swayed you. The commercial they are talking about Romney saying that Jeep and Chrysler were sold to an Italian company is true, who are looking to expand into China, that is true. However, they are not taking US jobs immediately away, Romney's point is that even if the US plants are remaining here, every job created in China is essentially taking a job away from the US. That's the part the media forgets to tell. The media has done a good job in making Romney look like the "Big Bad Wolf", but with an attentive ear and common sense you will see he is not the scary monster that everyone makes him out to be. Don't believe the media when they harped on the 47% speech Romney made. He wasn't talking about the Veteran, or the senior citizen collecting their social security, or me who pays hardly anything in taxes because I make so little and have a dependent child. He was talking about the people who are leaches on the system, and I'm sure you know who I am talking about. There are way too many people getting assistance that are very able to work. I see it all around me, and it angers me. There were 2 times in my life that I went for aid, and it lasted probably a total of 2 or 3 months, that's what it is intended for. It's a temporary service, not something you should depend on for a life time. And all Romney was saying is there is a percentage of people that he will never convince, because they feel they are entitled to get services, and frankly, I agree with him. He speaks the truth. I'm not fond of the "Tea-Party", I don't care for these Republican extremist either. Romney is moderate, that's why I like him. Obama has flip flopped, you should go on U-Tube and listen to the debates of 2008. Obama had no foreign policy experience, he said he would FIX the economy. Don't be so forgiving to him. I can see Romney as a REAL LEADER. He does have compassion, and yes he has lived a privileged life, but that doesn't make him a monster. Pull the veil off your eyes, Obama doesn't have what it takes to be convincing to our Senators and Congressmen/woman. He's a nice guy but he's a crappy leader!!!

I'll make a prediction before airing the show: MTP will blatantly fail--yet another week--to discuss the Benghazi scandal to cover for their "man" Obama, so that the media can continue to push for their liberal, gay marriage and tax-subsidized abortions-for-all agenda.
