We were saddened to learn of the death of Washington Post columnist Bill Raspberry today. Raspberry was on the Meet the Press roundtable many times over his trailblazing forty years as a columnist for the Post. In a 1994 appearance discussing society's responsibility to underprivileged children, Raspberry told Tim Russert that he would like to see "A 1990s children's crusade that has the moral power of the 1960 civil rights movement." You can watch more of the interview in the clip above, and read the Washington Post obituary here.
