Chris Hayes should cover the JP Morgan loss on UP this weekend. The issues are: 1) why four years later are strong regulations still not in effect; we are back in business the same as before and 2) still no indictments for fraud have been forthcoming. Dimon's comments obviously self-serving- no systemic problems that require fixing - just a little sloppiness which we can attend to ourselves. Give me a break!
This story should be #1. After the Depression, Glass-Steagall was put into place to protect tax payers from "too big to fail." FDIC insured banks means the risky investment/hedge fund side must be separate from the guaranteed banking side with deposits from common folk.
Dodd-Frank, while still better consumer protection than nothing, is not Glass-Steagall, and in fact requirements to keep reserves hinders lending to an extent. The real problem is the Teapublicans and their premeditated obstruction to everything lock-step, who also are chipping away at Dodd-Frank along with their masters on Wall Street as we discuss JP Morgan.
I don't know why Teapublicans hate Americans and the US so much. But it is imperative that they be thrown out, that Romney the plutocrat is defeated in a landslide, and the president is given enough majority in Congress to get The People's work done.
I can't believe this issue has gotten such little coverage this weekend. Chris Hayes too busy discussing social issues...which I care about, but come on!!
The issues are FRAUD. Mr. Gregory apparently lacks the ability to ask the right questions? or is Mr. Gregory just the window dressing used to divert attention away from the systemic investment banking fraud in which case MSNBC is seeking to help divert attention? Either case, Chris Hayes would have been a better choice to interview this financial psycopath (Jamie Dimon). How about a follow up to this interview with William K. Black, Ph.D. on accounting control fraud?
Jamie Dimon has proven how corrupt the banks are in particular JPMorgan. He has fought regulations the last four years, yet his actions prove that we need to pass and enforce much stronger laws. He should resign now and wait for indictments from his home, His bank was not stupid just crooked.
Know who's truly the most OBESE in America? Our Gov't and Wall Street.
There is a man who is willing to tackle both head on - centering his campaign around Campaign Finance Reform because until we get money out of Gov't, we'll continue to face money-motivated roadblocks to reform in all divisions and industries.
His name is Buddy Roemer and he's running Independently on www.americanselect.org - TODAY is the LAST DAY to LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD, America. It's the first online primary EVER. Don't miss this great opportunity to elect a 3rd candidate who can bring relevancy to issues that are worth debating.
Background on Buddy: Harvard graduate in Economics & also Harvard MBA. Turned around the economy as Gov. of Louisiana & 4 Term Congressman under Reagan - never accepted any lobbyist financial lures under either position. Founder, President and CEO of a community bank that mostly dealt small business loans, raised $650 million in capital, received no bailout money, and restructured loans instead of foreclosing on any customers - bank's name is Business First and Buddy is ALL about putting business first and getting corruption out of the Gov't and Wall Street.
Stand up for what's right - don't settle for Obamney as they are merely puppets bought by big money. There are humans out there with a conscience and want to do what's right for Americans. And they're campaigning with heart and soul on Americans Elect DOT org.
Can we replace David Gregory with Tamron Hall? Prince Reibus made Meet the Press look like a RNC Platform. It is days like today that I miss Tim Russert.
psdc is right. Let us give more time to David Gregory. I see most of the time he does not follow up or ask tough questions. Wants to impress guests,or May be he is saving follow up questions to be covered at a later time close to the elections. I think he should start asking real tough foll0w up questions. and I think he enjoys republican talking points.

looks like JP Morgan was caught in a pump a dump and they got dumped.
Dick Gregory has to go. Just doesn't have what it takes to force a response or control an interview.
You're really Lester Holt, aren't U? C'mon man, your turns coming:)
