David looks at this Sunday's Meet The Press including a special discussion on what's holding the US back in a global economy. Plus an interesting look at the "9/11 Generation" featuring Presidential Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin and her son, Army Captain Joseph Kearns Goodwin.

The remainder of the president's term will be a continuation of obstruction by the right. If the economy grows the GOP losses that will not be tolerated. The GOP will continue to mislead the public in believing the stimulus didn't work when almost every expert in the field agrees that 3 million jobs were saved and we avoided a depression due to this package. If the truth could prevail it would be said by both sides we need to provide a long term debt reduction plan with precise cuts to defense, the big three with an emphasis in delivery and billing, all areas with smart precise cuts over 10 or 15 years. Also raise the highest tax bracket to 39% or keep it at 35% and enforce the tax code this is 4 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. Proper funding for the health care bill that was already passed would also cut trillions of dollars off of the debt over the next ten years. With moderate cuts over the long term and modest tax increases we can balance the budget on a 10 year plan. The GOP and big business fail if the president gets anything accomplished and possible reelection, and the American people fail as well. When everything is debated on the GOP side of the field and the president uses their ideas and they still won't say yes were does that leave us a country. No is not a negotiation it is a final answer. “GE "job creators" got a 3 billion dollar tax credit in 2010 and had 14.2 billion dollars in profits. Cut 21000 jobs between 2007 and 2009. Even Reagan raised taxes multiple times in 82, 84 largest non wartime increases in history which cancelled out much of his cuts in 81 because the even the patron republican "god" realized that too many tax cuts=huge deficits and a failed economy.
“The president must get reelected. If we have continued leadership on the right with the tea party, who doesn't understand were ideology stops and governance begins driven by a skewed ignorance of the understanding of their own constituent’s needs and the inability of logic to explain facts to the simple minded. We will have all programs stripped away from 98% of Americans by an extreme right wing sect of the GOP. Say good bye to the middle class, education, FAA, FDA, EPA, social programs, healthcare, infrastructure, transportation, home loans, etc. Sound familiar it should it is called Somalia. Please take your misinterpretation of libertarian politics there, as our founding fathers that you claim to support understood that to an extent socialist/ capitalism is the only way to success. Gov’t has a roll in the solution and in our lives when did it become patriotic to believe the thing that has driven us to greatness should be gone. How do the same people that ideological think the government should be smaller blame the government for the free market not creating jobs while making record profits?
